PRESIDENT

Michael Hannah is a accomplished transport professional with over 40 years of experience working alongside some of largest transport companies in the country.

Michael specialises in transport operations and customer service. Michael is currently employed by JJs Waste & Recycling as the Southern NSW Area Manager.

Michael is passionate about supporting colleagues and uses his positive attitude to encourage others.

CO VICE-PRESIDENT

Carol is the owner/operator of The Local Pizzeria Tumut and Snowy Valleys Gelato. She is a strong supporter of the local busienss community, with a keen eye on tourism, hospitality and the main street of Tumut, as well as the broader interests of the entire Snowy Valleys business community.

The Local Pizzeria is a multi-award winning business, priding itself on great product, top notch service, showcasing regional producers and also the suppport and development of their team.

CO- VICE PRESIDENT

Ian has experience in small businesses, including two startups, as well as a background in large corporate and business consulting roles. He is currently working on a business startup to develop and commercialize software to help people optimize their working lives. Ian is keen to collaborate with local businesses to help identify and develop opportunities for business growth and community engagement.

SECRETARY

TREASURER

Business Development Manager with Roddy Engineering in Tumut who undertake works across Australia , along with several projects internationally.

This role covers all business/client relationships with regular meetings across the country with major infrastructure and Tier1 and 2 businesses, along with strategy setting and forecasting for the business.

Over 20 years in management roles across several states for the construction industry, ranging from national and multi-national companies undertaking supply to major infrastructure projects, along with high-rise and residential construction.

Prior to those roles Travis was an owner of his own business being a Hotel in South Australia.

Travis has a passion for sports and volunteer at golfing events across the country which keeps me busy outside of work.

Moving to the area nearly a decade ago Travis has also immersed himself in the region by being involved with the Tumut Golf Club on the BOD as the Treasurer, while also previously being the President of the Tumut and Districts Cricket Association.

Jay is a senior hospitality leader with over 12 years' experience operating at executive and general management level across some of Australia's most awarded bar groups. Proven track record in driving profitability, building high‑performing teams, and delivering standout guest experiences at scale. Highly skilled in financial management, multi‑venue operations, training frameworks, and drinks strategies.

Brianna is key member of the team at A Murray and Sons, a multi-generational Tumut-based business rapidly expanding across regional NSW.

COMMITTEE & SVC REPRESENTATIVE

PROJECT OFFICER

The Project Officer position is a part-time paid position responsible for supporting the Executive Committee, marketing and communciations and working on specific projects as directed by the Committee.

Kate Doust Howarth is the owner and operator of Kate Howarth Digital, an award-winning boutique communications agency based in Tumut, with clients nationwide, specialising in social media strategy and management, event and project management and administration, copywriting and photography, print and website design and development.
